Roll petals thin and soften their edges with a ball tool on a foam pad. Use a little edible glue at the base and build the flower gradually. The course rose uses different petal sizes, working from the small inner petals outwards.

The professional flower reference dries wired petals before painting and assembling them, with longer drying in humid weather. It doesn't establish a universal shelf life for finished flowers. Keep wires and other non-edible supports separate from what guests eat.
